REVIEW 001: THE DEVIL'S WORK By Mark Edwards

Overall Rating: 4 stars

General

This book put me at the edge of my seat with the constant thought of the uncertainty of the next chapter. I couldn’t drop the book as I was hooked. The suspense is very well played from the beginning to the end of the book. I found this book very intriguing and well written; every part made some realistic sense. I mean who would have thought that he/she would have been behind everything. Definitely not me. I was like “NO WAY, SHE DID NOT”.

If you have ever had to work in a very annoying and competitive environment then you would totally relate to this book. I read 80% of the book on my Kindle while on a 9 hour flight and I made sure I completed the book before the plane landed at the airport.

Writing

Marks writing was very straightforward and easy to follow through. Not too many big words and dictionary searching words which made imagination seamless.

Plot

Mark Edwards outdid this book as the plot twist was incredible. The paradox that exists within the question and the answer of the plot is simply appalling. Mark Edwards ensured that he left his readers always wanting to know which I believe is a good trait of a good writer. I will definitely be reading more of his books

Character

The interaction between each character was pretty intense and well thought of. My favorite was Cassie – the woman go-getter – and Simon – who seemed to me like a “woman wrapper”.

Have you read the book?

In conclusion, TDW gets
